Master Gardener’s 13th Annual Fall Gardening Festival

Has your garden got the late summer blahs? Do you want to learn how to be a “green” gardener? Then join the Virginia Beach Master Gardeners as they “Turn over a New Leaf” at their Fall Gardening Festival, Sat. Sept. 15.

One of Southeast Virginia’s most popular gardening events, the Fall Gardening Festival draws more than 2,000 green thumbs to this annual event. Sponsored by the Virginia Beach Master Gardener Association, the festival runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Virginia Tech’s Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center at 1444 Diamond Springs Road, Virginia Beach.

Guest speakers will talk about garden makeovers, including planning, design and sustainability, making the most of small spaces with pots and containers, and proper selection of trees. There will be a plant doctor on-call to answer your gardening questions, a plant sale and numerous practical demonstrations on topics ranging from composting to pruning.
