Food Drive at Association for Research and Enlightment

BXP27956

A food drive is under way through April at Edgar Cayce’s A.R.E.

Donation boxes are in the visitor’s center at 215 67th Street. The organization has set a goal to provide at least 500 pounds of food to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia’s “Feed Hampton Roads” campaign.

The following items will be accepted: nonperishable food in nonbreakable containers, including canned food such as fruit, vegetables, meat, soup, pasta sauce and beans; peanut butter and jelly; grains such pasta, cereal, oatmeal, rice and whole-grain crackers; and baby items like powdered formula, baby food, diapers and wipes.

Visitors with a food donation can ask at the lobby desk for a gift.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit edgarcayce.org.
