2013 Tartan Day Ceilidh

The Scottish Society of Tidewater will host a Tartan Day Ceilidh on Saturday, April 6, at the Church of the Ascension Community Center, 4853 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. The Ceilidh will begin at 7:00 p.m.

“Ceilidh,” (pronounced KAY-LEE) is the Gaelic word for “party.” The Tartan Day Ceilidh will include traditional Scottish bagpipes, fiddling, Scottish dancing, and a full Scottish-themed dinner, including haggis and “neeps & tatties.” Also there will be a cash bar, door prizes, games, and special presentations. Anyone with an interest in Scottish-American culture is encouraged to attend.

$20 adult, $15 active duty military, $12 children under 18, Children under seven FREE
